Scaling law for excitons in 2D perovskite quantum wells

Spectroscopy, magnetic field, Bethe-Salpeter, multi quantum wells, perovskites

The physics of the exciton is studied in multilayered perovskite materials, combining magneto-optical spectroscopy and semi-empirical resolution of the exciton Bethe-Salpeter equation. Scaling laws are proposed to account for the influence of the quantum and dielectric well thickness.

a) Optical image of multilayered perovskites crystals , b) variation of the exciton binding energy as a function of n (number of perovskite layers) for various levels of theory, c) variation of the photoluminescence spectrum as a function of n.
