Quantum and dielectric confinements

Sub-nanometric control of the growth of multilayered perovskites and perovskite quantum dots, is opening up additional perspectives for this new class of semiconductors. The present article is an experimental and theoretical review of the state of the art of the understanding of the confinement effects in these low-dimensional nanostructures.
